"Art Jamming - A celebration of creativity in art and our artistic communities in Singapore." That's the official description of Art Jamming Singapore, which is an annual international event highlighting the spirit of creative expression through games and arts in the city-state. "Art Jamming Singapore was founded in 1998 with a mission to bring the best of contemporary art to the people of Singapore and beyond. We believe that art should be both socially and culturally active. The aim of Art Jamming is to create a forum where artists from different countries and cultures can interact, exchange and learn from each other. It is a place to inspire, motivate and engage".

The Art Jamming Singapore program is held at the Singapore Art Museum. "The museum was selected as the ideal location because it offers a platform for the participants to exhibit their work and get feedback from others about their work. Our artists can come and present their work to the art and culture audiences, while the museum is a place to relax and unwind for all participants including professional painters, musicians and decorators. This is a wonderful opportunity to relieve stress, promote and expand your creative thinking, increase your vision and enhance your self-confidence," says Mr. Ng Yat-Kwon, Executive Director of the Art Jamming Singapore. In other words, Art Jamming is a place to meet other artists, learn from each other and create together!

Before participating in any art jamming activity, make sure you're in good physical shape. Your body needs to be flexible enough to bend and stretch, but strong enough to hold on to your acrylic paint or other painting medium. Use water-based hand and acrylic paints only. If you're using a liquid paint, dilute it with warm water first before applying it to your painting surface.

Be ready to attend a few workshops or meetings in order to get advice and tips from other participants. Join discussion groups online to share ideas with other artists who love to paint. At the end of the day, remember to have fun! You will likely leave the art jamming studio with lots of new ideas for future painting projects. But you'll also leave with some great memories that will stay with you.

For individuals who are more interested in promoting personal growth and mental well-being through art therapy, consider attending a retreat or workshop. Many retreats and workshops offer programs on how to use art to relieve stress and improve your life. These programs may include Yoga meditation, aromatherapy, deep-breathing exercises, meditation or prayer. A professional counselor or therapist may be able to provide further support to make your art jamming experience a truly remarkable one.

Art lovers will find that there's a lot to be gained by simply spending quality time together painting, drawing or listening to music. Spending time doing activities that foster creativity can help people relax and reduce their level of stress, while encouraging them to give themselves time to do the things they enjoy. The act of sharing the creative process with others is a powerful way to connect with others and foster lasting relationships. Art Jamming will open your eyes to how art can change your life for the better and allow you to spend quality time together while becoming more creative.
